Read in Daily Life

Short real-world texts from campus and everyday life. Questions target purpose, detail, and what is not said.

On the day

  1. Identify the genre in one second: email, notice, timetable, chat, form.
  2. The first question is often purpose. The greeting and first sentence usually hold it.
  3. For detail questions, match numbers, times, and names exactly. They are designed to look similar.
  4. Negative-detail questions: eliminate what IS in the text; the leftover is the answer.
