Listen and Choose a Response
You hear a single campus or everyday line, in one of several English accents. The reply choices appear only after the audio ends.
On the day
- Catch the speech act: request, offer, complaint, check, invitation.
- The correct reply accepts the act. Three distractors answer a different act.
- Listen for polarity. “Would you mind” is a yes/no trap.
Usual traps
- Answering the topic instead of the function (“library” vs. “can I borrow your notes”).
