Build a Sentence

Scrambled words must be tapped into a grammatical sentence. Word order, agreement, and punctuation all count.

On the day

1. Find the subject and the finite verb first, then hang modifiers.
2. Articles and prepositions are the usual leftovers. They have one legal slot.
3. Don’t spend more than 40 seconds on a sentence. Flag and return.

Usual traps

• Building a grammatical sentence that isn’t the intended one. Extra clauses get left over.
